I just got a ps5 finally to complete my next gen collection after skipping the ps4 gen and I wanted to catch up on my fav series
Is there no way for aussies to play infamous 1 and 2? Like we don't have the premium tier so we can't stream games but there isn't a ps4 remaster obscurely hidden here?
I wanted to play all the infamous as I loved the first one on ps3

Correct, only on PS+ Premium.

Yup, Second Son and First Light are there but those are PS4 games. PS3 ones are only streaming.

Second son and first light do not link up to the original 2 at all. So just play it.

The PS4 ones are completely separate stories. PS3 ones have good stories (in my opinion) so maybe you could hope for some remaster/remake in the future. Kessler is a great villain.

Would really enjoy a full remake with a modern engine. Hope we get that one day but I have little hope it will happen.

Not only infamous but also Killzone and Resistance franchises are all locked behind a system without any support on several countries due to the lack and slow PS Now coverage.
It is so sad to see a massive amount of titles locked behind this while MS already concluded the migration and upgrade phase of backwards compatibility for old and current gen.

It's annoying because there has been whispers of remasters of the PS3 games all last-gen and nothing came of it.
Would be so dope to be able to play them without having to resort to buying a PS3 or PC emulation.
Add the Resistance games into that same pile, btw. Also Motorstorm, but that's a different situation.

Not the best analogy but for example I once tried a few years ago using Wikipedia to find where all the Ys games were released and if I could get them on the systems I own and boy was that a trip - esp with the remakes

Not ideal, but you could make a PSN account in a region where PS+ Premium is supported (which ideally is also near Australia) and then stream the games. You'll probably have some noticeable input latency though...
